Charities regulator launches investigation into RACP

No one will say what the investigation is about, but the college is vowing to continue business as usual

BREAKING: The Royal Australasian College of Physicians, which has been dogged by bitter internal fighting for years, is being investigated by regulators.

In an email to its 25,000 members on Friday, the college’s board says it has been formally notified by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) that it is under investigation.

The college also says its board has committed to enter into a “voluntary compliance agreement” with the commission to improve the culture within the college board as well as its governance.
