Chris Bowen lays out a vision for general practice

No one could accuse shadow Minister for Health Chris Bowen of being reticent as he wades through the tangled weeds of GP health reform.
There’s been the Federal Government’s cuts to bulk-billing incentives in suburban areas. Mr Bowen calls them “cack-handed” and wants them revised.
He’s also opposed to the Health Department’s nudge letter campaigns. In his view, they’re a “trial by statistics” on GPs.
And the cuts to Medicare rebates for ECGs proposed by the MBS Review Taskforce were an “absolute shocker”.
