A few weeks ago, AusDoc asked GPs to define a general practice.
The context was the RACGP’s revised standards for general practice, which are currently in progress.
But it was also an opportunity for GPs to reflect… or vent.
Aside from the tongue-in-cheek responses (“general practice: selling one’s soul in 15-minute increments”), a few GPs seemed to agree with Professor Ian Hickie that the age of generalism was over.
