TGA issues $151,000 fine to company selling controversial COVID-19 bleach “cure”

Australia’s medicines watchdog has fined a ‘healing church’ for selling a bleach solution infamously touted by US President Donald Trump as a COVID-19 cure.

The TGA has issued 12 infringement notices totalling $151,200 to MMS Australia for alleged unlawful advertising of the concoction.

MMS Australia calls itself a ministry of Genesis II Church of Health and Healing.

The notices are for advertising the Miracle Mineral Supplement, a concoction also known as Miracle Mineral Solution or MMS, and other medicines.
