Combination self-test for COVID-19, flu and RSV approved
The test gives results in 15 minutes, its Australian sponsor says.
The TGA has approved a combination at-home test for COVID-19, influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
The test, from NSW-based sponsor Touch Biotechnology, has a sensitivity and specificity of at least 97% for all three viruses, according to the company.
The PI states it underwent usability assessment involving 778 patients, with PCR testing used as the comparator.
Parents are advised not to use the test on children younger than four.
