‘Compensate doctors infected as result of airborne risk’: AMA
Comments made by former deputy chief medical officer Dr Nick Coatsworth on national TV have triggered calls for compensation for healthcare workers infected with COVID-19 at work.
Dr Coatsworth was appearing on the ABC’s Q&A when Melbourne doctor Dr Fiona Bruce asked why there was no national guidance “which accepts the reality that airborne transmission is an important mode of spread for this virus”.
