Concern over ‘flatlining’ third COVID-19 vax doses

Federal Minister for Health Mark Butler is 'worried' about the stalled vaccine take-up among the under-65s

Uptake of the third vaccine dose has flatlined among the under-65s, with Federal Minister for Health Mark Butler admitting he is “very concerned” by the latest figures.

As of Sunday, 71.4% of Australians 16 and older had received their third dose, a small increase from 70.6% a month ago, Federal Government figures show.

The data also showed the number of those rolling up their sleeves for the third dose each day had dropped to just over 1000 Australia-wide.

In WA, Tasmania, the ACT and NT, less than 10 people a day received the third dose.
