A cosmetic clinician accused of disrespecting patients and sharing footage of procedures without their consent has claimed the emergency conditions subsequently imposed by the medical board effectively made him unemployable.

Media reports describe Dr Daniel Aronov as the world’s most popular cosmetic surgeon on TikTok with more than 13 million followers.

But when his patient was hospitalised after becoming critically unwell following liposuction, he was banned from operating under the medical board’s emergency powers.

The board allowed him to continue to practise as a doctor but it imposed the highest level of supervision where he was required to consult with a supervising doctor and follow their directions about the management of each patient before any care was delivered.
