A cosmetic surgeon who obtained consent from heavily sedated patients and woke them up in the middle of procedures to ask them questions has been struck off.

Dr Leslie Blackstock performed botched breast augmentation and labiaplasty surgeries at his Enhance Clinic in Sydney that caused patients “untold, stress, anxiety and disfigurement”, according to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

The tribunal found he failed to provide adequate preoperative assessment or take full medical histories.

And there were also many occasions when he did not work out his surgical plan, such as the type, size or placement of a breast implant to be used, until the day of the procedure.
