Court denies mother custody of 11-year-old to prevent doctors prescribing puberty blockers
The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia rejected a clinical psychologist's gender dysphoria diagnosis.

A judge has denied a mother custody of her 11-year-old because she would likely permit “potentially life-altering and damaging” treatment with puberty blockers.
Justice Andrew Strum backed the father and an independent lawyer representing the child, who both contended the child was “gender exploratory, expansive or fluid” rather than gender dysphoric.
