COVID-19 group says it’s instructed 200 Aussie doctors on prescribing ivermectin

Called the COVID-19 Antiviral Advisory Group, it argues patients will die unless the TGA's script ban is lifted

An organisation claiming to represent doctors who are prescribing ivermectin for COVID-19 has come out against the TGA’s ban, claiming patients will die if it isn’t overturned.

Called the COVID-19 Antiviral Advisory Group, it has no website or social media page and its membership seems to be a secret – possibly because of fears its members could be targeted by regulators.

But it says it is now going public to protest against TGA restrictions announced last week banning any off-label prescribing of oral ivermectin by GPs.

In a media release sent to journalists this morning, the group said it had so far instructed more than 200 Australian doctors on prescribing ivermectin in combination with the antibiotic doxycycline and zinc.
