A family met with inconceivable tragedy last month when Newcastle GP Dr Dave Hogbin was killed in a crocodile attack in Far North Queensland.
He and his wife, Dr Jane Bear, had three young boys and job-shared their GP work so they could maximise their time together as a family.

I went through university with Dave’s younger sister, and we moved into her and Dave’s parents’ home as students.
