Doctor diagnoses veteran broadcaster’s Parkinson’s disease by watching TV show

A well-known UK TV presenter, Jeremy Paxman, had no idea he had Parkinson’s disease, but a doctor watching him at home on TV picked it in one.
According to Mr Paxman, the doctor had apparently noted his facial expressions were no longer as “exuberant” as they usually were and had taken on ‘Parkinson’s mask’.
In a documentary aired this week, Mr Paxman said he ended up being treated by the doctor in hospital after he fell in icy conditions when out walking his dog.
“It was completely out of the blue. I was having a walk in the square across the way,” he explained.
