Doctor fined over visit to pandemic hotspot

The Queensland medic was made to pay $4000 after allegedly giving false information upon his re-entry to the state. The doctor denies the allegation.

A Queensland doctor has been blasted by the state’s Health Minister Steven Miles for allegedly lying over his return from a COVID-19 hotspot. 

The 38-year-old Rockhampton doctor was among those fined thousands of dollars for giving false information when entering the state from a coronavirus hotspot.
