Doctor speaks of ‘incomprehensible grief’ after son killed in suspected murder–suicide

The family of a doctor whose two-year-old son was killed by his father in a suspected murder–suicide have spoken of their “incomprehensible grief”.
Police found the bodies of James Harrison, 38, and two-year-old Rowan in Mr Harrison’s unit in Lismore, NSW, on Sunday night.
“Our beloved Rowan was taken from us in the most unfathomable way,” his mother, Dr Sophie Roome, and her family said in a statement to the ABC.
“Rowan’s life was ended by an evil and cowardly act of violence, perpetrated by a person he should have been able to trust the most.
