SA endocrinologist and vaccine developer Professor Nikolai Petrovsky has told a court that COVID-19 vaccines do not reduce transmission, in evidence to a legal challenge to the state’s vaccination mandate.

Anti-vaccination protesters applauded AFL Women’s player Deni Varnhagen as she arrived at South Australia’s Supreme Court for her ongoing challenge to the state’s COVID-19 rules.

Ms Varnhagen, who plays for the Adelaide Crows, also works as a casual registered nurse but has lost shifts since refusing a COVID-19 vaccination and is challenging the state’s mandate that health workers be inoculated.

Justice Judy Hughes continued hearing evidence from vaccine developer and endocrinologist Professor Petrovsky on Friday.
