Doctor who stalked junior registrar escapes suspension

A doctor who stalked a junior colleague can continue practising after a tribunal found suspension would impact his “important” contribution to healthcare.
Now based in Melbourne, he was an advanced trainee at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, NSW, when he was tasked with supervising the junior registrar.
They met for coffee, but the registrar made it clear she did not want to pursue a relationship with her infatuated supervisor, the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal said.
But soon after she moved to another hospital, he began a campaign to “secretly” pursue her, which ran over four weeks from late 2018.
