Doctor who treated Erin Patterson facing ‘formal complaints’ over his public comments about the triple murderer
A GP who treated convicted murderer Erin Patterson and gave evidence at her trial is reportedly facing complaints over his post-trial media comments calling the killer a “crazy bitch” and “sociopathic nutbag”.
Dr Chris Webster entered the media spotlight after Ms Patterson was found guilty of killing three people and attempting to murder a fourth with death cap mushrooms in a beef Wellington.
He gave several interviews about the case, featuring in the article published by AusDoc on Tuesday about his experiences as a witness and the impact on his life.
In other media interviews, he spoke about Ms Patterson, telling the Herald Sun he concluded that she was a killer after she said she bought the mushrooms at Woolworths.
