Doctor wins fight to remove historical misconduct allegations from Google’s top search results

A doctor cleared of misconduct allegations almost a decade ago has secured a non-publication order to prevent the case appearing as a top Google search result.
Back in 2014, the Medical Board of Australia ordered the doctor to undertake education on professional boundaries and placed chaperone conditions following a patient complaint.
The conditions were then deferred until a tribunal hearing, which found the misconduct allegations were unproven.
But his lawyer has told AusDoc that earlier this year the doctor started to “get some comments” from patients referring to the old allegations.
