Doctors and the stupid stuff — new campaign targets most ridiculous admin demands

AMA Victoria has launched a petition calling on the State Government to implement a bureaucracy-busting campaign in all public health services.

The spectacle of doctors being dragged away from patients to order office supplies and geriatricians having to undergo a working-with-children check are being targeted in a campaign to end ‘stupid stuff’ that wastes doctors’ time.

AMA Victoria has launched a petition calling on the State Government to implement the global Get Rid of Stupid Stuff (GROSS) program, to weed out pointless administrative tasks which interrupt patient care.

“It is time to support them by cutting out the ‘stupid stuff’ that wastes time, money, and energy,” the petition states.
