Doctors have started alerting regulators about dodgy cosmetic surgeons in response to a medical board call to action — despite threats by the surgeons involved, AHPRA says.

Last month, Medical Board of Australia chair Dr Anne Tonkin wrote to every doctor in Australia to remind them of their “ethical responsibilities” after saying it has received no notifications from doctors about cosmetic doctors suspected of putting patients at risk.
