Doctors consider strike action but say ‘sickest patients’ will still be treated
Tasmania's salaried doctors are poised to take industrial action over the 'worst pay in Australia'.
Poor pay is pushing doctors to the brink of striking, with AMA Tasmania considering work-to-rule action across the public hospital system.
Anaesthetist Dr Michael Lumsden-Steel said a strike could occur as early as next week to protest the lowest hospital pay rate in Australia.
