A group representing more than 500 doctors and healthcare workers is calling for an end to Victoria’s harsh COVID-19 lockdown, which it believes is putting the state on track for the “worst ever public health crisis”.
The COVID Medical Network believes the government’s response to the pandemic is now doing more harm than good, thanks to delayed diagnoses of serious medical conditions and a dramatic rise in mental health problems.
The network is calling on the state government to urgently establish a committee of medical experts to inform its decision-making.
