Doctors inspire me to keep writing, says Pete Evans

Paleo chef and anti-vaxxer Pete Evans says the AMA’s advice to “stick to writing cookbooks” has spurred him on to continue his writing career, just as he was about to give it all away.
In the latest stoush between the celebrity chef and the AMA, president Dr Omar Khorshid has taken aim at publisher Pan McMillan Australia for describing Mr Evans as a leading “health author”.
“Pete Evans should stick to writing cookbooks, and leave the health advice to people who have actually studied medicine and science at university not via Google,” Dr Khorshid told the Sunday Telegraph newspaper.
“If someone who compares COVID-19 to Barney the Dinosaur and calls three of the most notorious anti-vaxxers ‘heroes’ can be Australia’s leading health author, then I’ve still got a chance of running out for the West Coast Eagles in the grand final.”
