Doctors sick of being ‘gaslighted’ over virus cases

Doctors are tired of the “gaslighting” that’s taking place over the number of healthcare worker COVID-19 cases, says the country’s peak anaesthetists body.
The Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA) wants an independent body to replace the Federal Government’s Infection Control Expert Group (ICEG).
ASA president Dr Suzi Nou says she is “flabbergasted” at the response from senior members of the group, who appear to blame doctors for the high rates of COVID-19 infections in healthcare workers.
The society and other medical groups were “fast losing confidence” in the ICEG, she said.
