Doctors in Spain win lawsuit over lack of PPE

A court has ordered compensation for medics who were forced to work with no protection against COVID-19

More than one hundred doctors in Spain have scored a victory after a court ordered that a regional government compensate them with up to $77,000 each for having to work without PPE during the early months of the pandemic.

The lawsuit, brought by a doctors’ union, is the first of its kind to be won in the country, whose healthcare system was pushed to the brink when COVID-19 first struck two years ago.
