Specialists dependent on Rex Airlines to fly them into rural communities say its collapse will be catastrophic

Associate Professor Rachael Cordina is among hundreds of doctors who regularly fly on troubled Rex Airlines to treat rural patients.
But the cardiologist and her colleagues are now nervously watching the fallout from the regional carrier’s financial difficulties.
The airline stopped flights between major cities on Tuesday, before entering voluntary administration.
It is still flying regional routes while administrator EY considers a restructure, but its future is uncertain.
