Dr Charlie Teo says complaints against him send wrong message to ‘good, young, aggressive neurosurgeons’

Neurosurgeon Dr Charlie Teo has claimed that the complaints about his work that have led to disciplinary proceedings are sending the wrong message to “good, young, aggressive neurosurgeons”.
Dr Teo made the comments in a podcast ahead of a five-day Professional Standards Committee hearing where he will respond to complaints about his management of a number of patients.
In an interview with entrepreneur Mark Bouris on his podcast ‘Straight Talk’, Dr Teo lashed out at the proceedings, saying they were motivated by jealousy and a desire to ”destroy” him.
He said the worst thing about his experience was the message it sent to “all those good, young, aggressive neurosurgeons” that “if you try and do what Charlie Teo did, this is what’s going to happen to you”.
