Dr Charlie Teo says surgeons are ‘ganging up’ on him to prevent life-saving surgeries
Controversial neurosurgeon Dr Charlie Teo has lashed out at the “professional jealousy” and “gang warfare” that he says is preventing him from operating in Australia.
He claims doctors and surgeons are ganging up on him to ensure he does not perform his last-chance tumour surgeries in hospitals in Australia.
“It all started from nameless, faceless, cowardly people who just went to the media, made all these allegations and made up stories about me to try and destroy my reputation,” Dr Teo told 2GB radio on Monday.
The Sydney surgeon, known for offering surgery to patients with rare tumours, had restrictions placed on his practice last year by the Medical Council of NSW under emergency powers.
