Dr Karen Price is coming to the end of her time as RACGP president.

She is likely to be remembered. Amidst the pandemic, the past two years have been momentous, both on a professional and personal level.

Here, in a frank interview, she talks about her stance on universal bulk-billing, Dr Julian Fidge and being told she had won the college presidency as she was being wheeled in for a procedure to confirm her breast cancer diagnosis.

“I look back and go, ‘You’re a bit of a nut KP’…but I was able to do it,” she tells AusDoc editor Paul Smith.
