Dr Mackenzie Little is about 2.07 metres from Olympic glory
The Sydney intern is among the medal contenders at the Olympic Games.
Dr Mackenzie Little avoids mentioning at work that she is a two-time Olympian, but sometimes colleagues and patients find out.
“There have been a couple of times where a patient will wait until the nurses leave to say, ‘I know who you are,’ Dr Little tells 6minutes.
“It’s funny to me. However, I sometimes worry there is still this perception that, if you are interested in sport, you are not as academic.”
As you may suspect, Dr Little is speaking from Paris, with her day job as an intern at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney probably not top of her thoughts.
