Dr Rod Aziz has taken Family Doctor from one practice to 110 — but says it’s no GP corporate
The GP group has recently received a $170 million cash injection from global investment firm KKR.
With 110 practices, 500 doctors and now a $170 million funding boost from a global investment firm, Family Doctor is another big GP practice chain, according to its founder and owner.
That wording is deliberate. Dr Rodney Aziz rejects the ‘GP corporate’ title.
“I recognise some people may label me as that, but I don’t accept it,” he says.
“We have a different mentality, and an entirely different ownership structure.”
