US doctor Dr Shahab Mahboubian claims he does 30-40 cosmetic leg lengthening procedures annually on men who say they have been overlooked due to their height
An orthopaedic surgeon says he has been performing dozens of cosmetic leg lengthening procedures on men who feel their short stature has left them unlucky in love and their career.
Based close to Hollywood in Burbank, California, Dr Shahab Mahboubian claims the procedure typically adds 15cm to his mostly male patients’ height.
Each year, he performs 30-40 procedures each year, at a cost of US$75,000-90,000 ($113,000-$136,300).
“Most men who come to me complain that they’re not taken seriously or they’re made fun of,” Dr Mahboubian said in an interview he shared in a post on Instagram.
