AI scribe technology feels like one of those rare IT wonders that has delivered on its promise — at least judging by the fact that doctors are using it without some stick being applied.

The question for real-world medical care is what comes next. That debate seems to be about using AI to improve the value of clinical decision support. Will it make doctors lazy, will they come to trust it too much?

AusDoc: We should start with AI scribes, given for many doctors they are now a normal part of the consult. But some patient groups have raised concerns about consent. What do you say to patients?
