Some 5000 WA AMA members have been told they are no longer members of the Federal AMA
The AMA is in turmoil after it emerged that the state organisation in WA is refusing to hand over an estimated $1 million in membership fees to fund the operations of the federal AMA.
In an email sent last night by the federal AMA board, some 5000 AMA WA members were informed that, as a result of a breakdown in negotiations, they were no longer represented by the federal AMA — effectively, they had been booted out.
