Exhausted GPs denied rapid antigen tests from government supplies, says AMA

Exhausted GPs are struggling to source rapid antigen tests, with virtually no State or Federal Government supply to general practice, the AMA says.
As demand rises for the tests to be made free and widely available, federal Minister for Health Greg Hunt has promised to ramp up supply, telling reporters the tests are being provided for free in aged care.
However, AMA vice-president Dr Chris Moy says most GP practices are receiving no government supply.
“GPs are basically having to buy them themselves; that’s if they can get them of course,” he says.
