Fears return over shake-up of MBS care plan rebates

The RACGP is increasingly alarmed about the absence of concrete information on the looming rebate changes for chronic disease management items.
The Federal Government says it wants to provide greater incentives for GPs to review the care plans.
It has also pledged to scrap the Team Care Arrangement items, which are seen as a pointless red tape headache.
The items underpin more than $1 billion in annual Medicare funding for general practice.
