Former patients launch legal action against five cosmetic surgeons

Retired cosmetic surgeon Dr Daniel Lanzer and four of his doctor associates are the focus of a class action brought by dozens of patients who claim they have suffered injury and loss due to cosmetic procedures they performed.
Last week, Victorian based Maddens Lawyers lodged the case in the Supreme Court of Victoria against Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery Services Pty Ltd, Dr Lanzer, Dr Daniel Aronov, Dr Daniel Darbyshire, Dr Ryan Wells and Dr Alireza Fallahi.
More than 200 people from NSW, Victoria, Queensland and WA, where Dr Lanzer ran clinics, have registered their interest in the case.
Issues raised include ongoing severe pain, nerve damage, restrictions in movement and function of limbs and other parts of the body, botched results and lasting deformities and psychological trauma.
