Dr Stephen Hindley has been banned for four years after telling a patient she would “get cancer and die” after she admitted having a COVID-19 vaccination.

He also claimed doctors involved in the vaccine rollout were war criminals.

The Hobart GP originally came to the attention of AHPRA through anonymous complaints and a notification from another doctor.

He was accused of launching into a 10-minute lecture on what he considered to be the negative effects of COVID-19 vaccines to a patient with a head cold when she attended for a medical certificate.
