GP bans unvaccinated patients from his practice

A GP says he’s willing to risk hate mail after introducing a ‘no vax, no visit’ policy at his practice to protect staff and patients from COVID-19.
Dr Andrew Jackson, the owner of Northern Suburbs Medical Service in Launceston, Tasmania, says it’s only a matter of time before the Delta variant establishes itself on the island.
From 1 September, he says patients and visitors will need at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine if they wish to attend in-person, with anti-vax patients offered consults via telehealth.
After announcing his policy through the local media over the weekend, he found graffiti scrawled on the back wall of his practice on Monday morning saying: “You can stick your vaccine up your arse”.
