A Victorian GP who allegedly provided COVID-19 exemption certificates to anti-vaxxers has agreed to stop practising.

Police were called to Dr Denes Borsos’ practice in Elliminyt in western Victoria last month following reports that about 100 people were lined up outside his clinic waiting for vaccine exemptions.

Photos provided to media outlets also showed cars lined up along the road.

Less than two weeks later, on 28 October, Dr Borsos gave an undertaking not to practise medicine “whether remunerated or not”, according to the AHPRA register.
