GP clinic to close over COVID-19 vax mandates

A GP practice in Tasmania is set to close because it can’t meet the state’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate for its staff.
In a letter to patients, Dr Renier Swart expressed “great sadness” at the prospect of closing his clinic in the small town of Ouse, 90km northwest of Hobart, at the end of October.
“We have been running the practice to the best of our ability for 15 years…and we’ve been deeply touched by the loyalty and love shown to us by staff and patients alike,” the letter said.
“This is not the way we would choose to close the doors.”
