GP college slams TV host over hydroxychloroquine claims

The RACGP has taken aim at Sky News host Rowan Dean after he claimed doctors should be free to choose to prescribe hydroxychloroquine as a COVID-19 cure or prevention.
Mr Dean promoted hydroxychloroquine as a safe drug that has been shown to be effective against the virus in a segment on Outsiders – the news show he co-hosts.
“What have we got to lose by allowing doctors and patients to decide for themselves, without interfering politicians and bureaucrats, whether or not to take a drug that is safe?”, he said
“The consensus is it’s safe … in the correct doses and might well save your life.”
