GP exam adviser who failed to disclose relationship with candidate fined $30,000 for lying to RACGP
The GP doctored minutes in an attempt to prove he had raised the potential conflict of interest, a tribunal found.
An RACGP exam adviser has been ordered to pay $30,000 after failing to formally declare his relationship with a candidate and then manipulating meeting agendas to protect himself.
An assessment adviser for the Key Feature Problem exam, the WA GP also helped to develop the Candidate Assessment and Applied Knowledge Test, for doctors wanting to join GP training.
He had access to questions from both exams.
The WA Civil and Administrative Tribunal heard that a doctor with a “close personal relationship” with the GP applied for the training program and was accepted in 2020.
