GP fights Aussie celebrity’s negligence claim
A GP has denied negligence in his treatment of model turned crime author Tara Moss, who is suing the doctor over a hip injury that has resulted in her having to use a walking stick.
Late last year, the GP filed documents with the NSW Supreme Court, outlining his defence of the legal action by Ms Moss, who says he failed to diagnose a labral tear in her hip.
Ms Moss now walks with a cane she has named ‘Wolfie’ and publicises her use of the walking aid through an Instagram account aimed at destigmatising mobility aids.
She says the GP was negligent in failing to examine her hip, order an MRI or refer her to an orthopaedic surgeon after she visited him with pain four years ago.
