Hero GP named as victim of crocodile attack

A missing man who was attacked by a 5m-long crocodile in Far North Queensland has been named in media reports as Dr David Hogbin.
A GP from Newcastle, NSW, the father of three was on a caravan trip with his wife and children at the Annan River near Cooktown when he went missing.
After an extensive three-day search, police found the crocodile — with a distinctive scar near its snout — and euthanised it.
Human remains were discovered within the animal, although identification was still underway.
