Daniel Andrews’ Government seems unlikely to offer any payroll tax protections for GPs, leaving practices open to retrospective tax bills of hundreds of thousands of dollars, AMA Victoria says.

Victoria and Tasmania are the two states that have failed to grant GP practices any type of payroll tax amnesty following new rulings from state revenue offices that confirmed GPs could count as employees for tax purposes.
