GP registrars trapped in the Perth lockdown say they’re stressed, can’t sleep and can barely focus on study as they await news on whether their make-or-break KFP exam will go ahead in two days’ time.

The assessment for Perth candidates is on hold as a result of the lockdown announced after one positive COVID-19 test in a quarantine security guard.

It is officially due to end at 6pm on Friday, a few hours after the KFP begins.

There is still hope that the lockdown, which affects two million people, will be lifted early, particularly in the continued absence of any other positive cases being detected.
