GP says docs can do more to stop Pete Evans

GP Dr Vyom Sharma has called on doctors to stop being so polite and call out unproven claims made by celebrity chef Pete Evans and other conspiracy theorists during a pandemic.
Doctors have a responsibility to challenge his discredited, unscientific views as he is a public health risk, especially at this time of COVID-19, the Melbourne GP says.
Dr Sharma had done a bit of his own straight talking in a tweet, calling the former My Kitchen Rules judge a “f**king idiot” over his latest coronavirus rant in which he scoffed at the idea that the virus was transmissible.
“Is that what we’ve come here to do? Do we have the belief in ourselves that we’re contagious, that we are spreaders of something?” Pete Evans said during an interview.
