GP struck off after revenge plot backfires: UK

A GP who tried to get back at a colleague by falsely telling some of her patients she may have professionally violated them during insertion of contraceptive coil has been struck off the UK medical register.
Practice principal Dr Frank Hlordzi was found guilty of misconduct by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service for acting dishonestly while trying to “avenge” himself after his working relationship with the other GP broke down.
Dr Hlordzi wrote to six patients claiming the colleague had or may have used alcohol-based disinfectant Hydrex Pink to clean their vaginas, which was contraindicated for this use.
He told three patients this was “probably a serious professional violation” of their body.
